Share
A refreshing, nutrient-rich jelly infused with hibiscus and Solara Gelatine for skin, gut, and joint health.
Ingredients:
- 500ml (2 cups) hibiscus tea (brewed from dried hibiscus flowers or hibiscus tea bags)
- 3 tbsp honey or preferred sweetener (adjust to taste)
- 15g (1.5 tbsp) Solara Gelatine
- 50ml (¼ cup) cold water
- Optional: A squeeze of fresh lemon juice for brightness
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Gelatine
- In a small bowl, sprinkle 15g of Solara Gelatine over 50 ml of cold water.
- Let it sit for 5-10 minutes to allow the gelatine to bloom (absorb the water and soften).
2. Brew the Hibiscus Tea
- If using dried hibiscus flowers, steep 2 tbsp of dried hibiscus in 500ml of hot water for 5-7 minutes.
- If using hibiscus tea bags, use 2 tea bags and steep for the same time.
- Strain the tea and stir in the honey (or sweetener) while the tea is warm.
3. Dissolve the Gelatine
- Pour the bloomed gelatine into the warm hibiscus tea (not boiling, but hot enough to dissolve the gelatine).
- Stir continuously until the gelatine is fully dissolved and the mixture is smooth.
4. Set the Jelly
- Pour the mixture into small glass dishes, silicone molds, or a shallow tray for cutting into cubes later.
- Let it cool to room temperature before placing it in the fridge for 3-4 hours until fully set.
5. Serve & Enjoy
- Once set, gently remove from molds or slice into cubes if using a tray.
- Serve chilled for a refreshing, collagen-rich treat.
💡 Pro Tips:
✔ For a firmer texture, increase the gelatine to 20g.
✔ Add a squeeze of lemon juice for a subtle citrus boost.
